Use greener communication technology such as “GoToMeeting”, “ConnectPro” or “WebEx” to hold meetings with people from other offices. This is much more environmentally friendly than travelling by plane or car to meetings.
Recycle waste products: introduce an office strategy for everybody – place recycling bins in several commonly used areas for milk cartons, cans, printer cartridges and non-confidential waste paper.
Lower the air-conditioning temperature by 1 degree. This could save you up to 7% in energy costs. Keep heaters clean and unblocked for maximum efficiency
Setup achievable goals for staff and customers: i.e. recycle a certain weight of materials – or hold “Walk-To-Work” days.

Reduce energy consumption: switch off lights computers and monitors at night. It is a myth that leaving technology on “Standby” saves energy. New equipment should have an energy rating so buy the most efficient you can.
Support the use of greener suppliers – this will encourage policy changes with suppliers and the message can spread quickly.
